Ash Class experience an amazing visit from the policing team!
Our first art unit is focusing on using charcoal. In our first lesson, we looked at artists that use charcoal in their work, and then we explored different ways that we could use it to create different effects. It was messy but great fun!
Continuing our still life unit, we practised sketching through a four-colour gestural drawing exercise.
Over the Easter holiday, the Reading Ambassadors set everyone an Easter Reading bingo challenge. Have a look through the wonderful pictures of the children completing their challenges: from reading picnics to baking and research. So many of you made a fantastic effort and clearly had loads of fun! Well done everyone!
Years 4 and 5 had a fantastic day at the Bath and West Showground today, learning about where our food comes from.
Oak Class experimented with different dilutions of paint today and created some close observations of parsnips. We were really impressed with how much attention to detail they paid!
With the help of a little glitter, we were able to see how easy it is to spread our germs. We then saw how using soap when we wash our hands is so much better at getting them clean!
