September 2026 intake
We can not wait to meet the new children and their families who will be joining us in September 2026. As soon as your place is confirmed with us by the County Council, you will receive a letter in the post from us that will explain our transition dates and information about joining our school family.
Our transition process is extremely important to us. Class teachers from Ash Class go out to pre-school, nursery and child minder settings to visit the children first. We then create a special welcome evening, inviting parents to come into school to meet us and to listen to a little presentation about school life. Later in the summer term, we then invite the children to come and play with us in school on two occasions. This is where they can begin to feel comfortable in their new environment. In September, we stagger the transition process so that the children can learn their new routines and spend quality time with members of staff, making them feel safe and secure.
We truly believe that your child's education is a partnership, and we look forward to working together with you on their journey.
September 2027 intake
Choosing the right school for your child is one of the most important decisions you'll make in their early lives. We understand how important it is, and we are pleased to be able to offer school tours. The tour dates for 2027 starters will be shared in early September but do get in touch via the office if you have any questions in the meantime. 01935 840407 or office@cdcs.uk.
We will continue to offer Stay and Play sessions in the autumn for you and your child to immerse yourselves in our school life. Dates of these will be available soon.
Mrs Chesterton is usually available at the end of the phone and is happy to chat with any prospective parents – please just phone the school office to make an appointment.
