Ash Class were incredibly lucky to visit Montacute House in the sunshine this week!
The children listened to the story 'Leaf Man' before creating their own art with natural materials. Afterwards, they took a tour to the orangery and ice house, where they used their senses to think about what they could hear, see and smell.
Surrounded by tulips they became artists using watercolours and later on surrounded by trees they used wax crayons to create rubbings.
To finish they used their pencils to sketch observational drawings of the plants.
So many members of the public praised them for their excellent behaviour. We are very proud of our sparkling Chilthorne Champions!
