Oak Class thoroughly enjoyed preparing and tasting their 'Power Up' beef wraps on Friday, finishing their 'Adapting a Recipe' DT unit. They started by making and tasting simple beef sandwiches and moved on to designing a nutritionally superior snack. They swapped white bread for wholemeal wraps and added a rainbow spread of delicious fillings.
Many children surprised themselves by how much they enjoyed the healthier versions and many tried foods they hadn't tasted before!
