The children thoroughly enjoyed exploring Montacute House, especially the wooded area, the ice cave and watching the fish in the pond.  They then spent time using the environment to inspire their art.  First, they used watercolours in their sketch books, looking at the flowers in the borders. They then used wax crayons to create rubbings.  Finally, they used their sketching pencils to draw plants from the enclosed garden.
